Lynda Cowler

I have been the Headteacher of Hormead First School since 2019. During this time, our school has grown in capacity, and almost doubled. I was born and grew up in Zimbabwe during a period of immense change, where I am grateful to have learnt the importance of racial equality. I have four children and can relate first hand to the challenges of being a working parent and wanting the best for your child. The Governors and I work hard together to ensure that we are always exploring ways of making our provision the best it can be and inspiring children to develop a love of learning, love of life and love of God. My Christian faith underpins my commitment to leading a church school where I feel strongly about equipping each child to be a valued member of the world through drawing on our Christian values.
