Dropping off and Collecting your Child
To drop your child off at school, parents should bring them to the school door. This is an important chance to pass on any messages to their class teacher.
Ash class come into school through their Outside Area, whereas Willow and Oak gather on the playground and come into school through the Main Entrance (Willow) and Classroom Door (Oak).
Our day starts promptly with lessons at 9.00am, so if you arrive after this time you will need to come to the Main Entrance to sign your child in.
You can collect your child from the same place you dropped them off. It is parents' responsibility to ensure arrangements are made for their child at the end of each day. If you need to change the usual routine, or you think you might be late, please inform school as soon as possible.
We will always check if the person collecting your child has permission to do so. It helps us enormously if we know to expect someone different and their name!
Absence from School
If your child is absent from school for any reason, please call the school office by 9.30 a.m. We ask you to ring every day when your child is off school to ensure that we can mark the registers accurately. Upon their return to school, we also ask that you write a note to confirm why your child was absent.
Medical evidence may be requested by the Attendance Officer, so it is best to provide this whenever possible. Though Nursery children are not required to be in school, it is important we know why they are not in school on a day they normally would be.
Please see our Attendance and Lateness policy for more information about absences.
