Pupil Premium is a government funding initiative to provide support to specific groups of children who are vulnerable to ensure they reach their full potential both academically and socially. The fund allocated to a school is based on the percentage of pupils who are receiving free school meals, have received free school meals in one of the previous 6 years (Ever 6) or are a looked after child (CLA), or have parents who work in the Armed Forces.
At Hormead First School, the number of pupils in receipt is small, however, whilst this funding remains available we would urge all parents/carers who may be eligible for FSM (including those receiving Universal Free School Meals) to take up their entitlement using the link provided on this webpage.

Schools have a responsibility to share with parents and the general public how they have spent their Pupil Premium Grant each academic year. We publish our report annually, at the end of March.
