Victorian Seaside Day

28th June 2016
We had a fabulous day experiencing a Victorian Seaside trip here in school on Tuesday 28th June. All the children dressed up in their finest Victorian costume and came to school ready to make and do. In the morning the children made Victorian souvenirs (including treasure boxes and sand tubes), cucumber sandwiches and postcards.
In the afternoon they had the opportunity to go down the promenade and buy their souvenirs. They could also watch a Punch and Judy show and play traditional Victorian games - shove ha'penny and bagatelle. The afternoon ended with cucumber sandwiches and a 'hokey pokey' (an icecream!).
